Hands-on learning provides opportunities for individuals to not only learn procedural knowledge, but to obtain a full conceptual understanding of a particular topic. Through experience, I have found that along with a traditional lesson, a hands on activity enhances the lesson. Such an activity creates this effect by stimulating one's thought process and understanding. Thus, using the following activity would benefit students when learning about ratios, proportions, and even conversions!
